The Center for Energy and the Global Environment (CEAGE) is located at the Advanced Research Institute of Virginia Tech. Activities at CEAGE focus on research, education and training issues related to energy and information systems including secure data communication. The impact of electricity generation and use from both conventional and renewable energy sources on the global environment are studied by our researchers as well. Since its inception in 1994, CEAGE has made linkages with industry groups and universities in more than 30 nations, making it one of the most internationally active research organizations of its kind.
